How to inspire creativity?
There are many ways to inspire creativity, these however vary from individual to individual. However, before you start contemplating what you can do to inspire your creativity, let's break down and find out what exactly it means.
The noun creativity, pronounced /kriːeɪˈtɪvɪti/, means the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. A synonym for creativity would be inventiveness. This means that whenever you come up with a new idea, be it a new combination of clothes or think of a new amazing drawing which you can make, your're using your creativity.
All that is left to do now, is to find out something which triggers your own creativity. Now to do this, there are several things you could do, some of which are more intense than others such as physical exercise which clears your mind to allow for new ideas to come up, others less intense, such as listening to music. There are of course other ways, first start by consider what you enjoy doing, what calms you down or gets the juices flowing., anything from riding your bike to take a bath. You could also start pushing your boundaries and take more chances than before. Again, this can be anything from trying new foods to undertaking new activities. Basically anything that clears your mind and make it think in a new way, like re-wiring your laptop, just that this time you're re-wiring the way you think.
For me to unlock my creativity for example, I would listen to music, do some sport or I would draw something from nature. Anything that feels relaxing, watching a tv series for example would be another one. Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is, do things where you feel comfortable, something where you are open to think or push yourself to the limit to discover new opportunities.
