As we are about to begin with the reading of the play 'A View from a Bridge' (AVFTB), this is what I expect from it. I expect it to be a play, which focuses a lot about decisions which the characters have to make, how this in turn will change the way the characters think about and act in different situations. For the personalities of the characters I believe that most of them will be very serious characters who want to do things right as well as one or two characters who believe that their life should be lived and action packed. From reading the Statement of Inquiry and Key concepts of perspective and connections I except the play to be a lot about territories within the city and how certain characters have either a lot of power or very little and therefore struggle more. In the play I am also expecting a massive moral dilemma for either only one character or several in which not only his/her future is affected but also the future of his/her loved ones and possibly the extension of not only them but the whole cities appearance towards the outside world. The image which I have chosen to match with this idea of people having to make big decisions and control over the city and its inhabitants is below. In my opinion is clearly shows what the characters in the play are after and that they don't only want to control one each others lives they also want to control the lives of everyone in the city.
